The CW's One Tree Hill

The CW's One Tree Hill

About Me

The first time I made national television, no one knew it was me.  I was in a full-body bird costume, a Seahawk to be exact.  I played “Sammy C. Hawk,” my university’s mascot, in the 2003 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. We lost in the first round but hey, I finally got on TV.

The second time was much like the first.  I was in another full-body bird suit playing a mascot.  This time I was a Raven.  This began my television & film career in 2004 with my first role as the Ravens’ Mascot on The CW’s One Tree Hill.  And again, no one knew it was me.

Since then, I've played nerds, nuts, and ne’er-do-wells in films such as Nicholas Sparks' The Longest Ride, War Room, Adrenaline, The Ultimate Life, National Geographic’s Killing Lincoln, and a few other secret projects yet to come out.

You can also find me in shows such as The Walking Dead (AMC), House of Cards (Netflix), Sleepy Hollow (FOX), Rectify (SundanceTV), Constantine (NBC), and Secrets & Lies (ABC).  Fortunately, since no one knew I was the the Raven on One Tree Hill, I got to come back and play a bartender on the show.

I earned my MFA in Acting from Northern Illinois University where I studied under master acting teacher Kathryn Gately.  I also studied at the world-famous Moscow Art Theatre in Russia and earned my BA in Theatre from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

As a professional actor, I have worked in Russia, Romania, New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and all over the southeast US.  I have had the privilege to work with Olympia Dukakis, Dean Norris, Katie Sagal, John Schneider, Ryan Phillippe, Juliette Lewis, Bryan Greenberg, and many others.  I have also been on stage with Penn & Teller at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

In addition to acting, I teach in the Theatre Department at UNCW.  I love salt & vinegar chips, Netflix, and the Washington Redskins.  I'm also a gifted speler.
